Call for participation „BDZ eurofestival zupfmusik 2018“
On May 10th-13th 2018 Bruchsal will become the hub of the plucked music world. Be a part of it!
The „BDZ eurofestival zupfmusik“ of the Bund Deutscher Zupfmusiker is the biggest festival of its kind worldwide. Enthusiasts, professionals, orchestras and chamber music groups, youngsters and adults, children and seniors, leading orchestras from all parts of Germany and the entire world, performers of light and serious music, instrument makers and publishers, the entire world of mandolin, mandola and guitar meet in Bruchsal and celebrate a festival of plucked music!
The city of Bruchsal has proven to be the ideal place for this event. With great municipal support the “BDZ eurofestival zupfmusik 2018” will be the festival of the short paths. In a perimeter of only 150 meters you find the Bürgerzentrum - the central place for concerts and encounters, the city church, the town hall with instrument exhibitions, the open-air stage, the catering area and – last not least – the leisure time facilities provided by the youth section of the BDZ for all young participants. Just very few walking minutes away you find the magnificent Bruchsal castle, which will again become a very special place for musical pleasures.
The managing board including the musical and youth advisory boards is already diligently working on the preparations. Negotiations with the city are already going full speed and we already receive numerous inquiries from home and abroad. Special initiatives and content focus have to be defined and initiated. Basic points of large-scale projects to be determined now.

We invite all orchestras and soloists, that want to present themselves in one of the 25 concerts. Do you perform in a special group with „non-plucked instruments“? Do you have a special project, that you would like to present? We are curious about your ideas and manifold programs.
Use the opportunity to experience top-class musicians and orchestras besides your own performance. Take the festival as a motivation for a special journey with your orchestra to the beautiful Kraichgau with a mild climate and excellent food.
